Driving Lessons
Your legal requirement
(UK provisional driving licence)
You must obtain a UK provisional driving licence before you can start your driving lessons, sit the Theory Test or take your Practical Test. You can apply for your licence up to three months before your 17th birthday, but you will not be able to take any driving lessons (either professional or private) before your 17th .birthday.
If however you are receiving Disability Living Allowance at the higher rate, you can apply for your provisional driving licence up to three months before your 16th birthday. You will still have to wait until your 16th birthday before it becomes valid.
You obtain your licence by sending the relevant D1 or D750 form (available at the Post Office)

Standard Driving course
Aim driving school will follow the DSA Syllabus. This Syllabus is intended to provide structured learning program and information for the learner (provisional and full licence holders). Each lesson is professionally structured towards the student’s ability, which is monitored and recorded throughout the training program.
